Reflections from the Executive Director, April 2022

We are just a few days away from our April 27 virtual luncheon.

As we’ve been working to create an inspiring program for you, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect on the theme “Catalyst for Change.”

The expression, “Be the change you want to see in the world” rings true at Rainier Scholars and is at the core of our mission.

We work hard every day to provide access to opportunities that will enable our scholars to have college and career choices and become leaders and changemakers.

On April 27, we will give you a glimpse into our world, introducing you to scholars, parents, teachers and others who are part of the 12-year Rainier Scholars journey. You’ll also learn more about Rainier Scholars-Tacoma, which is welcoming its first cohort this summer.

From the initial intellectual spark, to the multitude of ways our scholars are inspired and inspire us, you’ll witness the many chapters of our program — from fifth grade, to middle school and high school, to college graduation and beyond!

Finally, you’ll meet our 2022 college graduates, ready to take their place and be the change they want to see in the world.

I look forward to seeing you virtually on April 27. Register here to join this uplifting event and be part of our community of changemakers.
