Volunteers play a key role in helping us cultivate the academic potential and leadership skills of hard-working, low-income students of color. Our goal is to provide meaningful opportunities to those who generously invest their time, talent and expertise in Rainier Scholars to strengthen our community.

Spirit of 12 Partner Program
We are proud to be a Spirit of 12 Partner, an incredible opportunity provided by the Seattle Seahawks and The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation. This partnership allows us to deepen our connections in the community, gain visibility and receive financial support to further our mission.
At two home football games this season (August 18 and October 1), hundreds of volunteers—scholars, alumni, families, corporate partners, staff and community supporters—will work as one to distribute Seahawks Gameday Magazines. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Rainier Scholars.
Our hope is to assign each volunteer at least one gameday opportunity. Spots are limited, so apply online or complete the Volunteer Application Form. We will notify volunteers of assignments by email approximately two weeks before gameday.
For more information, email Erika Chen, Events and Volunteer Manager, or call (206) 838-6678.
College care packages
Each November, volunteers assemble and send care packages to our college students. It is a great way to connect with a scholar and provide a much-needed boost during final exam time. We especially enjoy matching volunteers with scholars who attend their alma maters.
To sign up to be a care package volunteer, email Fred Capestany, Director of College Support or call (206) 407-2148.
